Anadia is a Portuguese city belonging to the District of Aveiro, Center region and sub-region Region of Aveiro, with about 6,000 inhabitants. Anadia is located approximately halfway between the cities of Aveiro and Coimbra.
It is the seat of a municipality with an area of ​​216,649 km² and 29,150 inhabitants (2011), subdivided into 10 parishes. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipality of Águeda, to the east by Mortágua, to the south by Mealhada, to the south and west by Cantanhede and to the northwest by Oliveira do Bairro.

Climate
Anadia has a Mediterranean climate of the Csb type, that is, with mild summers. Days with more than 30 ºC happen with some frequency, reaching about 30 a year on average, but the summers are dry and the nights can be cool. Winters are mild and rainy, with days below 0 ºC occurring more rarely, around 15 per year. Spring and autumn are also characterized by being generally rainy.

Economy
Located in the Bairrada Wine Region, the municipality of Anadia is closely linked to wine production, with the Bairrada Vitivinicultural Station and the Wine Museum.

Human geography
Anadia is in the heart of Bairrada, a fertile agricultural and viticulture area, which has recently stagnated in terms of population. Anadia municipality has one city: Anadia (which is in the parish of Arcos) and one town: Sangalhos. Curia, a village in Tamengos parish is a popular tourist spa with hotels, restaurants and a park with a lagoon.
