Vagos is a Portuguese village, located in the Aveiro district, Centro region and sub-region of the Aveiro Region, with about 3 800 inhabitants.
It is the seat of the homonymous municipality of Vagos with 164.92 km² in area, 22 851 inhabitants (2011) and a demographic density of 138.6 inhabitants / km², subdivided into 8 parishes ( Calvão;Fonte de Angeão e Covão do Lobo; Gafanha da Boa Hora; Ouca; Ponte de Vagos e Santa Catarina; Santo André de Vagos; Sosa; Vagos e Santo António). The municipality consists of two parts divided by the Ria de Aveiro: a continental part and a portion of the Costa Nova dune cord. It is limited to the north by the municipality of Ílhavo, to the northeast by Aveiro, to the east by Oliveira do Bairro, to the southeast by Cantanhede, to the southwest by Mira and to the west the coastline in the Atlantic Ocean.
