Estarreja is a Portuguese city, located in the district of Aveiro, in the Center Region and sub-region Region of Aveiro, with about 7,500 inhabitants.
It is the seat of a municipality with 108.17 km² in area, 26,997 inhabitants (2011), and a density of 249.58 inhabitants / km², being subdivided into 5 parishes. It is limited to the north by the municipality of Ovar, to the northeast by Oliveira de Azeméis, to the southeast by Albergaria-a-Velha, and to the west by Murtosa.
Estarreja is located in the parish of Bedído and Veiros, on the north bank of the River Antuã, close to the Ria de Aveiro.
The municipality of Estarreja is divided into 5 parishes: Avanca (town);
Beduído and Veiros (city of Estarreja); Canelas and Fermelã; Pardilhó (town); Salreu (town).
